More Zoo Adventures!

More pictures from the zoo, critters of all shapes and sizes, species and specialization! Spectacular sights, sultry selections!

I go to an aquarium, and take pictures of land animals. I go to a zoo, and, well, here's some turtles and fish!

Three turtles and some fish

I'm not sure what this bird is, but in my mind I have dubbed it "the ugliest toucan in the world."

The ugliest toucan in the world

A while ago I took a picture of our next door neighbor's dog through the fence, and people said that it could be used as an animal advocacy picture. This cheetah picture makes me think of anti-zoo protesters. I can't think of a very catchy slogan, maybe you can?

Cheetah behind a fence, not running free

This isn't a very good picture, but that's because I was being hurried out of an area that wasn't supposed to be open for public viewing. Apparently, someone had pushed aside the barriers and entered on their own, so while we were technically not wrong to be there, we had to move along. The snakes in a barrel, just sitting out, was sort of a clue.

Waiting for a host body

This is probably one of the better fish photos I've ever taken. Yes, again, I know I was at a zoo and not an aquarium. Sue me, I take what I can get!

"Contained Speed"

"Limited Speed"

"Limited Boundries"

"No matter how fast you can run, there's always a barrier that can stop you."

"Why run when you can rest?"

Well Akdidge has some good ones - all I could think of was Stop Cheating the Cheetah.

The snake in the barrels was a little creepy.I hate snakes. Just seeing the shadow here was enough for me.

I do love that last fish photo!

Thanks Didge, those are pretty good!

Carletta, sorry for freaking you out a little with the snake; I just thought it was kind of cool that I got to see something most people don't. Glad you liked the fish photo. :)
